I am a qualified Person Centered therapist, taking the client's lead and working with what the individual brings to the room. Trained in understanding and using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Psychology, Executive Coaching, Life Coaching, as well as Mental Wellbeing in Children and Young People means that my practice provides an integrative approach to all my clients.
I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds via agency setting and private practice as well as working with children in school settings via my invaluable placement and training with Place2Be.
My role as a counsellor is to offer a non judgemental and a safe space to facilitate growth and empowerment of the client’s natural and authentic self.
Based in London, I run my private practice as well as work with organisations, both remotely and in person, depending on the location of my clients .
Sometimes we just need someone to talk to, outside of our immediate circle, who will listen without judgement. There are so many reasons people seek counselling; whether dealing with a current challenge, loss, relationship breakdown, work stress and general discontent, or needing to go back to past events that may not have been dealt with.
Whether we are aware of it or not, most of us are conditioned from a young age and grow up with beliefs and ideas that may not sit comfortably with us, but we carry them with us because we have been handed them and don’t quite know how to free ourselves of them.
How do you deal with past and /or present experiences that leave you feeling uncomfortable, shamed, inadequate and so much more?
We often block out what we can as a protective mechanism but "running away " from the experience or the problem does not mean we can run away from ourselves, the repercussions and how they have shaped us in life. This is deep and hard work, which takes commitment but is also a means of moving forward if you are ready to.
I work both short term and long term with clients depending on their reason for entering counselling and employ a range of creative, as well as practical approaches, driven by the nature of the work we are doing together.
Some clients seek short term counselling/coaching/mentoring to reach a specific goal, whilst others journey into long term counselling, to explore and better understand themselves, difficult life events, and their environment.
Working with corporate sector clients often focuses on meeting professional goals, dealing with the cause of anxiety, private issues that impact their work life and sometimes a combination of both work and home life. It is often the case that where one area of life is proving to be difficult it will undoubtedly impact the other.
I offer one to one sessions, pair work and group work, both through counselling and/or coaching workshops, for private clients as well as corporate packages.
"Agnes has been my psychotherapist over 2 years now. Her contribution to my personal development is something I find difficult to put into words. She has enabled so much change in my life through our therapeutic relationship. I went from being an incredibly anxious and nervous person unable to live out the colourful images in my head, to actually achieving life goals."
"Agnes has become an invaluable addition to my life in a number of ways. Her caring, compassionate, and thoughtful nature has really supported me through some incredibly challenging times. As someone who has never attempted therapy before, Agnes made me feel so comfortable and our relationship feels so incredibly natural.
I would highly recommend Agnes as someone you can trust to begin or continue your therapy journey."
"I have been a client for almost 2 years and cannot speak highly enough of Agnes.
I am always made to feel comfortable discussing any topic, and through our sessions Agnes has helped me greatly to build on my confidence and deal with many difficulties I have had to face.
She is an absolute gem and I’m so grateful for all her support."
"I am not new to therapy and have had my experience of both helpful and less helpful therapists over the years, which makes me appreciate what I have found in Agnes as a therapist. She is very real and dares to observe what others may feel uncomfortable to say, leading to some really honest discussions, awareness of deeper feelings and self discovery. I have achieved a great deal more in my career than I ever dared I could dream of. This has all felt so seamless and yet we have worked so hard to achieve all of this."
